The Secrets of Clean and Healthy Skin – What You Need to Know About Exfoliation - Olavie

Our skin, in addition to needing hydration, needs proper cleaning. For this, there is nothing better than exfoliation, which removes dead skin cells, stimulates the creation of new cells, and promotes blood circulation, resulting in softer skin and renewed energy for all parts of the body.

Here are some of the benefits of regular exfoliation.

Less wrinkles – due to aging, the skin loses its ability to renew and eliminate dead cells. When these cells accumulate, wrinkles and imperfections may appear on the skin. By exfoliating the skin, you help reveal the fresh cells to look younger.

Zero ingrown hairs – ingrown hairs are very annoying as they cause pimples and can get painful. By exfoliating frequently, you keep the pores clear of hairs under the skin.

Better hydration –when dead cells are removed, it absorbs water better.

Softer legs – be sure to exfoliate your legs first before shaving. The exfoliation will smooth out the bumps to make for a smoother and better shave.

It is important to exfoliate 1 to 2 times a week (not more often since it can irritate the skin instead of soothing and softening it). Follow these steps for a good experience.

  1. Make sure you apply the scrub on wet skin.
  2. Use smooth and circular movements to massage the scrub on your skin.
  3. Rinse the skin with warm water.
  4. Hydrate with a moisturizer.
Our legendary all-natural sugar scrub is blended with shea butter and six natural oils to exfoliate in a natural way. Some of our customers find that they can just rinse the scrub off their legs and shave right away without using shaving cream because of the nice oil base of our scrub. Give it a try and let us know how you like it.
