Caring For The Skin After Tanning

Everything has better color when the sun rises. When there is light and warmth, the cities fill with flowers and the birds sing; life seems better.

Surely you are spending more hours in the sun. But, despite protecting yourself with a good SPF sunscreen, the skin still needs further care. After a long day in the sun, take a shower to relax, but think carefully in choosing the correct temperature. Make sure the water is not too hot. A comfortable temperature that opens the pores, relaxes us and eliminates sweat is the perfect option.

Summer is a time of outdoor activity with more sweating and more dirt on the skin. Therefore, it is important to have a good cleansing routine that removes grease, sunscreen and other impurities from the skin. Opt for an effective exfoliant for the entire body and choose a mild cleanser without soaps.

During the day, apply sunscreen with different SPF’s depending on how much time you anticipate being in the sun. At night, feel free to use a body oil with antioxidants and wholesome ingredients that will help the skin recover after a day in the sun. We recommend strongly the Olavie Body & Massage Oil. It’s made with seven natural oils and absorbs readily into the skin without leaving a greasy feel, and it’s perfect if you sleep in an air-conditioned environment.

Do not forget hydration from within. Make sure you drink even more water than you normally do, as the sun can really dry you out. Add some fruit or mint leaves to give it extra flavor!

Enjoy the good weather, relax and take a moment to feel and enjoy.
